I don't have very much information on this one, I don't even know the caliber. The furniture on it is silver, and the lock arrangement is beautiful. And the date is approx. mid to late 1700's. It just makes me drool.

Do you reckon the central rib is all wood? I've a double pistol I am ribbing with a piece of dried yew (hedge)-stocking too. Folks tell me it will split. No idea what gave them that idea...of course, could be the .58 rifled on one barrel, 12 gauge on the other, Pirate style. The wouldn't make me an 8 gauge pistol barrel...:)
